The Point to Ponte Knits!

Jan Futter points us in the right direction.  She shares her favorite go to for transitional wear, a ponte knit fabric.

As we say good-bye to cold weather (hopefully!), and slowly emerge into spring, our customers frequently say to us "I don't know what to wear".

What exactly is a ponte?  It is a combination of rayon, polyester and spandex and it would be similar to something like a double knit of years past.  We think the best part about a ponte fabric is that it holds its shape, travels well and is incredibly comfortable.  Most importantly it is seasonless!

A few of our favorites in store are the Buchanan and Kang sleeveless asymmetrical gray dress.  In this look, we even paired it with another great ponte knit piece, our Marc Cain moto-cross jacket we talked about here.

Ponte knits also look beautiful worn casually and upgrade  your everyday look in comfort and style.  We paired a great Eileen Fisher pencil skirt with an incredibly soft White + Warren cashmere hoodie.

If you like everyday comfort and warmth when these outdoor temperatures seem to rise and fall, a ponte pant could be your best friend.  The tailored look and quality make it appropriate to wear for professional events but is very easy to pair back down with a cozy sweater and Eileen Fisher jacket with leather trim.
