Prior to March of 2020, anyone wearing a mask in public would have drawn stares. Today the face mask is now a common sight and a reminder of the times we live in. We’ll all continue to wear and see masks in public for the foreseeable future.
Over the past three months, Jophiel has been responsive and pro-active to an immediate need, As an authorized Local Allen County PPE Provider, we have delivered over 3,000 PPE face masks to numerous charitable organizations and local businesses — and created a new custom-designed Jophiel product line for our clients.
Initially, we did not do this by ourselves. Countless angels helped by assisting with various steps, underwriting the cost of masks, purchasing one or more for friends and loved ones, and helping to get the word out! Together we have seen so much good amidst so much uncertainty.
Creating, designing and producing our custom face mask requires the same expertise and focus on quality our clients have come to expect from the Jophiel staff. There are many steps in this labor-intensive process, and all of those add up. Fabric is now more expensive and then there are the man-hours: fabric selection, sourcing new prints, cutting, interfacing, ironing, sewing, trimming, finishing and ironing some more!
The masks we design and create are 100% cotton, use elastic for a nice quality fit, and are washable. They are 3-ply, not single-ply, which means three layers of protection. And they ARE fashionable!
The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public throughout the remainder of the re-opening phases. That means settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, larger groups, and around those who may be at higher risk.
